Public domain
This work was first published in Angola and is now in the public domain because its copyright protection has expired by virtue of the Law on Copyright and Related Rights (No. 15/14 of 31 July 2014) (details). The work meets one of the following criteria:
  • It is a collective work made anonymously or under a pseudonym and 70 years have passed since the date of date of production, first public presentation or first publication (whichever is latest)
  • It is a photographic work or a work of applied art and 45 years have passed since the year following the death of the author (or last-surviving author)
  • It is an artwork or musical/theatre performance and 70 years have passed (as of 31 December) following the year the work or performance was made
  • It is a piece of music and 70 years have passed following the year of publication or, if publication was not made on the date of first recording, 70 years following the year of recording
  • It is the work of a broadcasting organization and 35 years have passed since the year of first broadcast
  • It is another kind of work and 70 years have passed following the year of death of the author (or last-surviving author)
  • It is one of the "laws and decisions by administrative and judicial organs", an "unpublished speech made in public and not compiled into a book by the author", or "news of the day and reports of simple information regarding events made over social media"
You must also include a United States public domain tag to indicate why this work is in the public domain in the United States.
 Note that a few countries have copyright terms longer than 70 years: Mexico has 100 years, Jamaica has 95 years, Colombia has 80 years, and Guatemala and Samoa have 75 years. This image may not be in the public domain in these countries, which moreover do not implement the rule of the shorter term. Honduras has a general copyright term of 75 years, but it does implement the rule of the shorter term. Copyright may extend on works created by French who died for France in World War II (more information), Russians who served in the Eastern Front of World War II (known as the Great Patriotic War in Russia) and posthumously rehabilitated victims of Soviet repressions (more information).
